Working with the land
Old Earth Botanica began with a simple belief: the earth gives us what we need, and it’s our responsibility to work with those gifts carefully.
We favour ingredients that are species‑accurate and traceable, locally grown or produced and free from palm oil and palm‑derived materials.
We avoid anything that feels disconnected from nature: synthetic fragrances, artificial colourants, harsh detergents, or ingredients with unclear origins.
Our packaging
Our packaging is intentionally plain and practical. It's designed to protect your products without burdening the environment. To be as kind to nature as possible, we use:
Recyclable shipping boxes
Paper & tissue wrapping
Compostable packing pellets
Paper packaging tape
Compostable twine & ribbon
Glass jars, not plastic.
Supporting Rural Communities
Where possible, we source from growers, farms, and small suppliers within the UK. Choosing local materials reduces transport impact and supports the rural economies that keep traditional skills alive. It's our way of giving back to the landscapes and communities that inspire our work.
Bees
Our honey and beeswax comes from untreated hives in Burston, Norfolk.
Goat's Milk
Our goats milk comes from a family in Billingford, Norfolk.
Botanicals
Our botanicals are sourced from trusted suppliers who provide full species traceability.
Transparency & Responsibility
All of our recipes have been assessed by a qualified cosmetic chemist and made under UK cosmetic regulations.
We keep full batch records, ingredient documentation, and traceability from supplier to finished product.
Our Promise
This is our everyday practice. Quiet, rural, and rooted in the old earth beneath our feet.
Materials that honour the land
Packaging that returns to the earth
Craft that respects time
Suppliers who value nature
Honest, traceable ingredients
