Natural oils & butters
Our base formulations begin with plant oils and butters such as olive, coconut and shea. These create gentle, nourishing products with a soft, skin‑kind feel.
Ingredients from local producers
Where possible, we source ingredients from small suppliers close to home. Beeswax and honey come from local hives, bringing warmth and countryside heritage to our products.
Botanicals, colourants & scents
We use species‑accurate botanicals that offer colour, texture and tradition. Our colourants are natural too: nettle, cocoa, activated charcoal and clays.
Our approach to preservatives
We avoid preservatives that are not naturally derived. However, many of our products — including our soaps, moisturising bars and bath salts — are naturally self‑preserving and require no added stabilisers.

The Botanica Bees
The wax used in our soaps and solid moisturiser bars (and the honey in our From The Hive soap) come from Rob’s hives in Burston, Norfolk.
His bees spend the warmer months among chamomile, thyme, oregano, phacelia, woodland blooms, wildflowers, and, this year, clover too.
